Confirmation of the decree of the land rabbi and the Greater Poland land elders regarding the dispute between the rabbi of Kcynia and the local kahal
Naftali ha-Kohen, the land rabbi of Poznań, and the Greater Poland elders during the regional council of the land of Greater Poland in Osieczna (1702), confirm the decree issued in the previous year regarding the matter between the Kcynia kahal and the local rabbi. They recognize that the Kcynia kahal should pay the rabbi 600 zlotys of the amount of debt and cover his procedural costs (100 zlotys) and pay him the outstanding annual rabbi’s salary for the years 1701-1702 (the so-called jurgielt).
