Re-protestation of the Nowy Sącz kahal against the Kraków Steward Stanisław Łętowski and Jews from Bobowa
The elders of the Nowy Sącz community re-protest against Stanisław Łętowski, the Kraków steward and the heir of the town of Bobowa, and the Jews from Bobowa regarding the minor kahal breaking away from their jurisdiction. The Nowy Sącz elders complained that the Jews of Bobowa stopped paying Jewish
and public taxes, as well as debts and wyderkauf (about 5 thousand zlotys paid annually for 5 years, 1000 zlotys a year) incurred by the superior community, making all payments directly to the hands of the Kraków-Sandomierz land elders. In addition, they accused them of unlawfully setting up their own Jewish
cemetery and burying their dead without the consent of the Nowy Sącz community and land elders.
