Protective universal of the Sub-chancellor of the Crown Bogusław Leszczyński to the Jews of the Greater Poland voivodeships
Bogusław Leszczyński, the sub-chancellor of the Crown and general starost of Greater Poland, in connection with the lawlessness spreading in Greater Poland (an example of which was the murder of several Jews from Leszno) and also the need to provide an income from the poll tax to the treasury, grants protection to the Jews of Greater Poland voivodeships and guarantees safe passage and transportation of goods on roads, including Jewish poll tax collectors.
